Dynamic Insurance Services Initiates Legal Action Against Major Insurers

Allegations of Coordinated Conduct in Restricting Market Access

Dynamic Insurance Services Initiates Legal Action Against Major Insurers?w=400

Dynamic Insurance Services has filed a competition lawsuit against Steadfast Group, QBE Insurance, and Allianz Australia Insurance, alleging that these companies engaged in coordinated conduct that effectively cut off its access to essential insurance products.
The lawsuit, filed in March 2026, claims that Steadfast terminated its network agreement with Dynamic in early 2026, followed by QBE and Allianz ending their arrangements.
This sequence of events led to the loss of authorized representatives and significantly impaired Dynamic's ability to operate effectively.

Dynamic is seeking more than $2.1 million in damages, asserting that the actions of the defendants were unlawful and had a detrimental impact on its business operations. In response, Steadfast and Allianz have denied the allegations, stating that their actions were lawful exercises of contractual rights.

This legal battle highlights the competitive dynamics within the Australian insurance industry and raises questions about market practices and the relationships between insurers and their partners. For tradespeople and small business owners, the outcome of this case could have implications for the availability and diversity of insurance products in the market.

It's essential for professionals in the trades sector to stay informed about such developments, as changes in the insurance landscape can affect the options available for coverage. Engaging with reputable insurance providers and understanding the terms of service agreements can help mitigate potential disruptions in coverage.
